Last Minute Candy Wrappers

Hiya,

Hope you are all prepared for Christmas. Here are some last minute gifts that I made for neighbours. I used the candy wrapper die and put little chocolate eclairs inside them. I just decorated the outside with patterned paper. You could add some ribbon as well if you wanted to.

I think these are great as little treats to give away in kids party bags. You could also you them as place name holders at the dinner table as well as double as pudding.

Well that just leaves me to wish you all a great Christmas.

Take care

Christmas Card Share

Hello,

Sorry it has been so long since I last updated. I have been quite busy making all my Christmas Cards and presents.I manged to get all my cards out to South Africa on time and they have arrived safely so I am pleased.

Here is the card I made for my work colleagues. I used whisper white card stock as the base and then Not Quite Navy as the background colour. The stamp set is Christmas Deer - 128144. I used Bashful Blue to ink around the stamp.

I have done a recent order with Stampin' Up! and am doing a You Tube video which I will be posting in the  next couple of days.

Hope all your preparations for Christmas are going well.

Card Share

Hiya,

Sorry it has been so long since I have been on. I have been busy making Christmas cards to send to my family back in South Africa. Unfortunately due to the cost of postage I had to keep the cards very plain and simple as too much paper adds so much to the cost. Already each card cost me £1.28 to post!! That is more than the card cost to make.

This is a card we made recently in card club.  It is very simple, just layering coloured cardstock with whisper white. The stamp is Just Believe. It is a wonderful nature orientated stamp set that can be used for both Spring and Autumn cards.

I am starting to make all my Christmas cards for work and the UK. I will show you some samples soon. I promise!!!

Take care

Stampin' Up! Convention 2012 - Mainz Germany

Hiya,

I am back from Convention. What a blast! I had an amazing time and got some lovely stamp sets all FREE. Convention this year was in Mainz, Germany. Convention was in the Rheingoldhalle which is situated on the banks of the Rhine River. It was beautiful to be able to walk alone such a river and think of the wonderful history associated with it.

Unfortunately we didn't have very good weather for convention and it rained every day!! I did manage to take photos of the hall and river though.

This is a view of the Rheinegoldhalle from the back. The front backed on to a main road.

Here is a photo of across the Rhine from the convention centre. As you can see the weather was quite tempestuous.  Below is another photo of the Rhine.

This was taken on Friday morning when the weather improved for a couple of minutes.

Well I had a lovely time in Germany but it was very tiring and I am glad to be back home in good old London town. Well my last bit of news is that Stampin' Up! Convention is coming back to UK. Next year Convention is going to be in Manchester. Of course you can only attend if you are a demonstrator. If you want to learn more about being a demonstrator with Stampin up please do contact me.

I'll be back later this week with more news about convention.

Take care

Christmas Card Share - Snowflake Card

Here is another great card we made at my upline's card club. You can see her blog hereThis card uses the Bigz Snow Flurry die and early expresso tulle ribbon from the winter catalogue. I have cut out the snowflake twice and off set each one on top of each one. The brown tulle is lovely and soft and has a scalloped edge. It looks great on cards and can be gathered to give a ruffled effect.

Christmas Card Share

Hiya,

I wanted to share this gorgeous card we made at my upline, Karen Gilchrist's card club. You can view her blog here.

This uses what has been termed the "triple stamping" technique. The card uses 3 pieces of white card each a little bigger than each other. These 3 pieces of card are all stamped together at the same time and then matted onto coloured cardstock and layered on top of each other on a red base card. The stamp set used is Snowflake Soiree - 127925 and the sentiment stamp is Greetings of the Season - 128033 both from the Autumn / Winter Catalogue.

I am off to quarterly team training so have been making swaps by the "bucket load"!! I will post what I have made soon.

Take care

Paper Flower

Hello,

I just wanted to share with you this lovely paper flower I made recently. I used Stampin' Up!'s designer series paper stack- Pumpkin Pie. I punched out the shape using the 2 3/8 inches scalloped punch. I punched out 8 of these shapes. I then inked the edges in tangerine tango with a sponge dauber. I cut in the scalloped circle at each scallop to create individual petals. Make sure you don't cut al the way into the centre of the scallop. Using the sylus from the scoreboard and a foam mat such as Stampin' Pierce Mat i shaped each petal individually by pressing the stylus down in circles until the petal and curled up into a shape I was happy with. I did this to all 8 scallops. I then attached each on top of each other using a brad. I sprayed the flower with water to make the petals easier to mould. After moulding, heat to set your flower or leave to dry naturally.

Here is a picture of my flower.

Here is a list of the products I used:

Brights Designer Series Paper Stack - 117155
2 3/8" scallop circle punch - 118874
Tangerine Tango Stamp Pad - 126946
Simply Scored Stylus - 125624
Stampin' Pierce Mat - 126199
Sponge Daubers - 102892

Stampin' Spritzer - 126185
Bright Brads - 119740

Hope you liked it. As ever if you want to order anything please contact me.

Take care

Rosette Flower Tutorial

Hello everyone,

I have been busy make flower rosettes, I have made smaller ones and layered them on top of larger ones. i have been using  the great new Stampin' Up! scoreboard as well as Designer Stack paper to make these. These are very easy to make and don't need a special die. You can make them in whatever colour you want so they can perfectly co-ordinate with your project. You can make them whatever size you want. These would look great as well made into napkin holders.

My First Demo Order!!!

Hiya,

Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Work has been busy. Everyone in finance is being moved from Kensington to Hammersmith so we are madly trying to scan our paperwork and pack up. I have been in the same office for 10 years so it is a bit like moving house. Not fun!!!

So yesterday I decided to do my first Stampin' Up! order as a demonstrator. It is huge order. I don't think I will ever do one as big again but I wanted to take advange of some of the special offers going at the moment. As I spent over £400 I could get ANY TWO items from the catalogue half price as well as not £60 but £90!!! worth of free goodies of MY choice from the catalogue.

I should hopefull get it sometime this week and will post a YOU TUBE video to show my goodies. I will also put on some of the projects I make when I get a chance to play with them.

I also went to a Stampin' Up! card club in Heston this week and will show you some of the things we made.

As you know I was going to host a club afternoon on 30th June but will have to cancel this unfortunatley as that is the weekend we are moving from Kensington to Hammersmiths so won't have time to prepare. I am going to reschedule for a date in July but will let you all know nearer the time.

best wishes for the week ahead

Chelsea Flower Show

I am knackered today. I went to the Chelsea Flower Show yesterday. We were there from 8am to 5.30pm. We did manage to see everything but am paying for it today. Glad that I am at home today. It was a great day though. I took tons and tons of photos. There is absolutely no way that I am scrapbooking them all. Over 800 photos!!!!

I have just finished scrapping last year's Chelsea photos and that was only 350 of them. I think therefore that I am going to take a break from scrapping and make some cards or do some colouring in with my markers.

Not sure if anyone is reading this. Please leave comments. I am planning to hold a workshop / card club in June if anyone wants to attend. Please let me know so I can arrange a date.

Take care

End of the Week

So glad that is Friday!!! I have the weekend all to me. I am going to open my box of goodies from Stampin' Up! tomorrow. I have been saving it so that I can enjoy, rather than being too tired to care. I have also been looking at the summer min catalogue and making my wish list. Yes wish list!!! Nearly anything can go on the wish list, just a case of whittling it down to reasonable amount that my bank balance can withstand.

I am on leave next week so am going to try and make some cards. Will show you samples later on.

Have a good weekend everyone!!!

Convention

As you know, I am a new demonstrator and as part of Stampin' Up's offer have been able to register free for convention, which is a saving of £149.00!!! Convention this year is in Mainz. Luckily I have some nectar points so will be able to use those to get to Frankfurt and back. I am busy looking at hotels, think I might go for a smarter one as not having to pay for travel. I am really looking forward to going, only trouble is it is in November.

On the postive side I got my email yesterday telling me that my starter pack from Stampin' Up! was on its way to me. It has arrived now!!! I have resisted opening it as I want to do a haul video and show you guys all the goodies I have got.

I do like receiving nice big parcels. Feels like Christmas!!!

That is all for now, watch out for my video either on here or on You Tube under coolio1978

Bye Bye
